Acrylic liners are fast to install, but it’s not a full replacement of your tub or shower. Basically, the company sticks a thin liner directly on top of your old one. This has a lot of drawbacks—including the possibility of covering up problems like mold without even knowing it.

Traditional tile can look beautiful when it’s done, but this method takes a lot of time to complete. It is also by far the most expensive option. You’ll also find that the grout that goes along with tile gets dirty fast.
